At first glance, Anne Lukas appears to be a normal, quiet, suburban mother of two. However, on closer inspection a wildly creative and wickedly funny alter ego emerges.
Anne began her career as a graphic designer over 15 years ago. She continues to freelance and enjoys working one on one with her clients from concept through completion.
In recent years, Anne has developed an illustration portfolio of her unique, three dimensional characters which are often used for the educational publishing market as well as for advertising. She handcrafts each piece in miniature using polymer clay, professionally photographs them and then uses Photoshop software to perfect each final digital image. “I love working in this style as it allows me to utilize so many different skills.”
For relaxation, Anne paints. “I love to paint large and scribbly. It’s such a contrast to the precise measurements and alignment of my graphic design work and the tiny details of
my clay illustrations. I don’t have to be concerned with accuracy, I just get to play.”
Currently, Anne teaches art to both children and adults.
